What data do we collect and why?
To determine how we can improve ones experience on our website, we monitor how it is used and track what pages people navigate to or how they got there. For this, we use Google Analytics which we have integrated on our website through a unique tag, specific to our organization. In turn, this tag will use first-party cookies to store and collect information about your visit on our website.
We do not share the information we have gathered with any third parties, other than the Google Analytics platform. Only a limited number of employees of The Collective Consulting BV have access to the Google Analytics platform.
- Google Analytics collects first-party cookies, data related to the device/browser, IP address and on-site/app activities to measure and report statistics about user interactions on the websites and/or apps that use Google Analytics.
- Google Analytics uses IP addresses to derive the geolocation of a visitor, and to protect their service.
Users can disable or delete individual cookies at any given time.
Users can also customize cookies and the data collected with features like cookie settings.
We, The Collective, have not enabled integrations between Google Analytics and e.g. Google Analytics Advertising, or Google Remarketing services.

Users have the option to opt out from our newsletter at any given time. We also ask you to re-confirm your subscription (consent) periodically. If no response is received, your will automatically be opted-out from our newsletter and your data will be removed from our systems.
The processing of your information is subject to all applicable Belgian and European laws and regulations with regards to the collection and protection of personal data.
How do we ensure the security of your data and privacy?
First and foremost, we limit the amount of information that we collect. As such, we ensure that the potential exposure is limited.
Secondly, we store information in a single platform (Google Analytics) which makes it easier for us to maintain your data in a secure way. We enforce Multi Factor Authentication on all our accounts and cloud platforms, thus also for Google Analytics. As such, we minimize the risk of compromised credentials being able to lead to a platform breach.
Thirdly, we limit whom has access to the Google Analytics platform. Only direct employees of The Collective Consulting BV have access to the platform, after completing a specific privacy training. All employees have signed a code of conduct which requires treating personal data with the utmost respect (and caution) and access reviews are performed quarterly.
The data we collect through the Google Analytics platform is pruned (removed) from our systems periodically and not retained for longer than the minimal retention period of said systems (14 months at time of writing).
